Originally from Manhattan, Jake followed his dream of being a professional artist and attended art school in Baltimore. After putting in those hard years at art college Jake graduated, then pursued his art career in San Francisco. After a year on the west coast working for a film company building movie props, he decided the California dreamin' thing wasn't for him and he then inquired about a tattoo apprenticeship at SMARTBOMB TATTOO, here in Dayton, Ohio. After joining the team, It didn't take long for Jake to find his niche, and then really start to develop what was soon to be one of the most original styles to come out of our studio! Jake's traditional twist put to punk and horror imagery, with tons of humor and personality has definitely made Jake a stand out, and has earned him upmost respect among his peers, his clients, and other fellow tattoo artists.
